His hibernation was busy with dreams filled with threats and temptations, equally populated with oppressive, hateful bullies and relentlessly cunning guardians... Memories of pressing taught fingers on the surface of the rock, something between a massage and a juggle, caressing, spinning the object, like Michelangelo playing an endurance sport of one. Sisyphus the athlete. Musician of the functioning soul. In his dreams, he always fought other men -- whether previous fisticuffs were won or lost -- and it would not be until 2034 (Common Era) where the focus of this story will (by and by) eventually take place that Sisyphus opened the question Were women excluded from these challenges? Had there been some contract, or a list of maxims and commandments meant to disqualify them from competing against their male peers? Sisyphus didn't know. Since the time of Homer, the concerns of the masses had centered around recording that things happened; reaching consensus as to the mutual causes of these affairs was a distant hope. Even as his form was renewed and his senses replenished, Sisyphus would study "the bones of action" as he fondly referred to them, with keen eyes meaning to suss out some lynchpin-mechanism for what factors contributed to delinquency and how they differed at all from those that empowered the body & spirit of the individual; and for all his thought discovery remained little more than a rumor... He dreamt and he dreams and he will soon be awakened....

Speaking on behalf of the homeless (poem)

We are not all desperate bottomfeeders to the last.  We count them in our number like any other class of people --  any other.  And we are not all poets, novelists, aspiring filmmakers:  Some of us wouldn't give you a straight answer what  year it is, let alone how that should be significant to the arts.  I, myself, have eaten from garbage cans -- dry things, wrapped in  plastic and not wrapped in plastic, drank flat soda, cold  coffee, the dregs of beer cans, drops left in the corner  of liquor bottles big & small. -- It's not just something  cool they say in movies: the street finds a way inside of you  and its gravity is not undone by accident.  The ones waiting for the accident, demanding it, even, you see them where their souls have become possessed in hysteria, their madmen apocalypse of Christian Martyrdom braced in, fenced in with ubiquitous methamphetamine addiction or vigilantly defending some 20 ft. by 20 ft. squ...
